the storyteller

The RedRyno

I’m Maurice D. Talley — founder of Live inspiRED, author of Sticky Lessons, and known to many as RedRyno.

For much of my life, I was what you might expect from that name — driven, focused, and charging forward. The RedRyno represents that part of me: determination, resilience, and momentum.

But a defining moment changed the way I saw everything.

Becoming a living kidney donor didn’t just impact someone else’s life — it reshaped my own. It forced me to slow down, reflect, and recognize something simple but powerful: the smallest acts of kindness can create the biggest ripple.

That experience became the catalyst for what would eventually become Live InspiRED.

These days, I still carry the spirit of the RedRyno — but I’ve also learned to embrace something softer. More reflective. Maybe even a little more butterfly than rhino. Let's say this clearly, "I'm cheesy". So cheesy it can give you a belly ache! Oh, wellness. If believing that small acts of kindness passed on, sending smiles and messages to those who feel forgotten is cheesy, so be it.

Because in the end, the ideas that truly change lives often are simple: kindness, encouragement, compassion, and showing up for one another.

WE ARE PEOPLE - Powerful beyond measure and capable of endless possibilities which seems to have been forgotten. I continue doing my part to "Be the Change..."

That belief is the heartbeat of Live inspiRED
